DA200 – 3D modelling with TinkerCAD
Ages: 11-16
Length: 16-20 sessions, 1 hour each
Description
In this course, students learn code blocks to do 3D design. They first learn starter projects with step-by-step tutorials, which are the perfect launchpad for all things Tinker. Then students move on to different projects. This course helps build a foundation for coding. Students learn to write programmes that bring designs to life. Codeblocks are a great way to learn and teach coding principles. Codeblocks make it easy to run, stack, and repeat with real-time simulation. Block-based code makes it easy to create dynamic, parametric, and adaptive designs.
Learning Objectives
By the end of the course, students will be able to:
- Become familiar with block-based coding
- Use codeblock to do 3D design
- Write programs that bring the design to life
- Snap block together to form a stack of actions
- Use the power of variables and loops to add compelling patterns to your designs.
