Basic robotics with Vex GO
Ages: 8-12
Length: 16-20 sessions, 1 hour each
Students learn to build and program VEX GO. This is a fun and engaging way to introduce them to the world of computer science. Friendly and intuitive drag-and-drop block-based coding allows them to explore programming, control the robot to do required tasks and learn troubleshooting along the way.
Robots and accessories: Vex GO, Laptop
Learning Objectives:
- Identify complex parameters and use them to revise code and complete coding
- Understand the concept of event handlers
- Recognize multiple loops, how and when to use them
- Able to apply concepts learned to daily lives
